Timers allow you to keep a real-time overview of the time spent on the projects you are working on. If you need a timer to keep you focused on the task at hand and you need a more precise way of measuring time, you should start using timers.
Simply open the Register Time log:
Select a project
Projects are compulsory in order to track time in Timeneye. You can pick a project from the list under the Projects box. If you want to create a new project, click on Create new project and fill all the project information.
Select a phase
Phases too are compulsory in order to track time, so make sure to have at least one phase for every project. When you have selected project and phase, the system will save your time entry accordingly.
Click on Start timer
An active Timer will automatically appear in your calendar. You can easily recognize an active timer as it has a small green icon blinking in the bottom right corner and they are also bigger that entires and paused timers.
Simply stop a timer every time you need to take a break by clicking on the Pause button on the right side of the timer box. The timer will be automatically added to your pending timers in the top bar.
Make sure to save all your pending timers if you want the data to show up in your reports and in the entries log.
Click on the pencil icon next to the Pause button: you’ll now be able to set a new phase, project, add notes and edit the time tracked so far.
